Sven Fanick erhielt seinen ersten Unterricht im Klavier- und Orgelspiel und Chorsingen von KMD Ingrid Sturm in Wilhelmshaven. Die C-Prüfung für nebenberufliche Kirchenmusiker legte er bereits vor dem Abitur ab. Nach der Schulzeit absolvierte er zunächst eine Ausbildung zum Orgelbauer bei der Firma Alfred Führer in Wilhelmshaven.
Nach der handwerklichen Ausbildung setzte Sven Fanick seinen musikalischen Weg mit dem Studium der Kirchenmusik in Lübeck fort. Dort hatte er Unterricht im Fach Orgel bei Prof. Jürgen Essl, Sergej Tcherepanov und Prof. Franz Danksagmüller, in Improvisation bei Prof. Armin Schoof , Karl-Bernhardin Kropf und Prof. Franz Danksagmüller, in Chorund Orchesterleitung bei Prof. Gerd Müller-Lorenz.
Kurse im Fach Kinderchorleitung u. a. bei Prof. Ingo Bredenbach. Seinen Abschluss mit A-Examen machte er 2008. Während des Studiums war Sven Fanick als Assistent unter Prof. Armin Schoof und später unter Prof. Arvid Gast an St. Jakobi zu Lübeck tätig. Seine erste Anstellung als Kirchenmusiker trat er im Anschluss an seine Examensprüfung 2008 in Groß Grönau an.
Seit 2010 ist er als Kirchenmusiker der Kirchengemeinden Luther-Melanchthon und J.-H.- Wichern zu Lübeck tätig. Seine musikalischen Aufgaben umfassen die Leitung der Luther Wichern-Kantorei, die Leitung dreier Kinderchöre und den Organistendienst. Seit 2011 gestaltet er zusätzlich die mittlerweile in Lübeck etablierte Konzertreihe „tea-time-concerts“ in der J.-H.-Wichern Gemeinde.
Sven Fanick spielt in mehreren Ensembles als Organist, Cembalist und auch als Pianist.
Sven Fanick received his first piano lessons as well as choir singing by the district cantor Ingrid Sturm in Wilhelmshaven. Already prior to his A-levels, he passed the C-examination for part-time church musicians. After school, he first completed a training as an organ builder with the Alfred Führer Company in Wilhelmshaven.
Following the manual training, Sven Fanick continued his musical path with the studies of church music in Lübeck. There he received lessons in the subject of organ by Prof. Jürgen Essl, Sergej Tcherepanov and Franz Danksagmüller; in the subject improvisation by Prof. Armin Schoof, Karl-Bernhardin Kropf and Prof. Franz Danksagmüller; in the subject of choir and orchestra conducting by Prof. Gerd Müller-Lorenz; courses in the subject of children’s choir conducting by Prof. Ingo Bredenbach among others. His degree with an Aexam he completed in 2008.
During the studies, Sven Fanick worked as an assistant under Prof. Arnin Schoof an later under Prof. Arvid Gast at St. Jakobi Church in Lübeck. His first employment as a church musician he began following his exam 2008 in Groß Grönau.
Since 2010, he works as a church musician of the church parishes Luther-Melanchthon an J.-H.-Wichern in Lübeck. His musical tasks comprise the conduction of the Wichern Church Choir, the conduction of three Children’s choirs, and the organist’s work. Since 2011, he additionally creates the concert series „tea time concerts“ in the J.-H.-Wichern parish which has since then been established in Lübeck.
